Tororo Crusade Harvest: A criminal becomes a new “creature” Testifies Engort Dennis

July 25th, 2008

As the bible declares, once one accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savor, the person becomes a new a creature, the old has gone. In the recent Crusade that turned Tororo upside down Engort Dennis was arrested and captured by Jesus Christ from his criminal record. Engort Dennis was caught in the chains of violence and unruly behavior. He testifies that he become unruly as early as 8 years old when he remembers that he cut his brother with a knife. Because of his bad character Engort could not settle at school. He went to five Secondary between senior one up to three as he was always expelled. While at Greenville Senior Secondary School in 1997, after one month he escaped from school leaving all his belonging and ran to Kenya a country where he knew nobody at the age of 15. While in Kenya, Engort found himself on the beach in Mombasa hustling with tourists and rapping women. In 1998, he came across a teacher from the United Kingdom in Mombasa who saw him as a bright and clever boy wo could not settle for just being a beach boy and agreed to invite him to the United Kingdom. Consequently, Engort returned to Uganda with the good news that was soon to continue with his education. He flew to United Kingdom at the age of 16 in November 1998 and started living with the teacher for about five days in W.Sussex and then traveled to Preston to live with friends that he had met in Mombasa. While in UK, he started working for Plumbers, Fast Food Restaurants and getting skills in financial advising from his friends. Engort started using drugs and smoking heavily which led to his arrest by the British Police at work. That was just the beginning of his criminal life. He served three and half years in UK prisons before he was deported to Uganda. Otwan Kenneth was the original name of Engort. The name Otwan carried the curse from his witch craft family background stemming from his late grandfather Otwan who was a re-known witch doctor. After his deportation from UK to Uganda, Engort found life difficult in Uganda. He traced his routes in Mombasa where he had lived before going to UK. This time round he went beyond the earlier habits and got heavily involved in witchcraft. After assaulting a night guard/car washer he escaped arrest and came back to Uganda. He got involved in the Uganda Music Industry while at the same time continued with his drugs. He went to his village where he realized he was carrying his grandfather’s name who was a witch doctor and that his blood line had been cursed. None the less his visit to the village was later to be an appointed time for his deliverance. It coincided with a Crusade in his home town Tororo led by Pastor Imelda Namutebi. It was at this crusade that his chain of bondage broke and Engort accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savor. Today, Engort is in Church praising the Lord Jesus Christ as a new creature To God be glory

HIV/AIDS can be healed testifies Eryasafu Kibirige

October 22nd, 2007

Eryasafu Kibirige aged 52 testifies that HIV/AIDS can be healed.   Kibirige lost his wife due to HIV/AIDS on the 23rd October 1995 after she had been bedridden for a period of 3 years.  After the loss of his wife, Kibirige also started getting HIV/AIDS symptoms.   In 1997, he decided to go for a test at Nsambya Hospital where he was tested positive.  He started receiving care and support from Nsambya Hospital in form of food supplement and treatment.  He was also at the same time taking some herbs.  Despite the care and support Kibirige was receiving his condition kept on deteriorating.  In 2000, he became seriously sick and stopped performing in his Kadongo Kamu Group which he had established known as “Mukuge Gitter Singers”.  By then he was staying in one of Kampala suburbs of Katwe-Kibuye. In 2002, while in that state of hopelessness, Kibirige’s last-born Stella Nakasujja who was staying in Mengo near Liberty Worship Centre came and told him of a Church of Pastor Namutebi Imelda in Mengo where they were praying for people and miracles of healing were taking place.  Kibirige came to Liberty Worship Centre in a Sunday service. When they called for an alter call, he came forward and accepted Jesus Christ.  He continued to come to Church every evening.    One evening Pastor Imelda Namutebi asked the people who were HIV positive to come forward and be prayed for and Kibirige was among the people who came forward.   After the prayers, he went and poured the herbs he was taking.   Gradually, the symptoms started disappearing. After about 2 months, during a Sunday service, Pastor Imelda Namutebi as she was moving in the congregation, Kibirige says that Pastor called out his name and told him that God had showed her that he had been healed of HIV/AIDS and that he should go for a test. However, Kibirige did not go for a test immediately but kept confessing positively that he had been healed.  By then most of the symptoms had disappeared expecting the dry cough.  In 2004, Doctors of Uganda Business Coalition for HIV/AIDS picked interest in people who were claiming that they had been healed of HIV/AIDS in churches.  Liberty Worship Center was selected.  They came and took 14 people with Kibirige among them.  When they did the test Kibirige was confirmed to be negative.  To God be the glory.
